Description

Sometimes we have a map that displays something - most often using GPS markers and not polygons - and it is useful if we can see the boundaries of the relevant system (e.g. city) that this shapefile pertains to. Would be nice to have an easy way to activate boundaries.

It is now possible to do this. In the MAP EDITOR you can enter the boundary ID and it will then load on the map.

In the future we might want to improve this by a) allowing people to enter the name of the boundaries instead of the ID (although that might actually be hard due to multiple names etc and IDs are already well-established so maybe not?) and b) allowing the user to set the opacity, width, and color of the boundaries. However, none of this is fundamental so I close this and those improvements might warrant a new ticket if anyone feels so inclined.

Nice that you made this feature and integrated it into the map editor Paul. I had previously also thought that it would be useful and am looking forward to use it.
With regards to your two points, a) I find the solution of entering the ID very straight forward, and for b) indeed there is no fundamental need for that.

Great to hear, thanks for the feedback Carolin, good to hear it works for you like this.
